![]() ![]() I could run a ladder on each side with a 15 ft painters platform between them. The ceiling areas are wide open between rafter supports the and stable ladder access is limited. Some work areas will have tin roofing put up. Then I'm installing insulation, vapor barrier and rigid sheet over that. My set up is limited and not really very safe. Hey Lardy, I'm using what I have now for replacing some ceiling purlins, and finishing some framing and quality control the previous owner neglected to bother himself with. Can't imagine how a cheap one would feel? Ha! This one looks almost identical to the ones H-Depot carries, but looks can be deceiving right? I think normally they go around $900-$1,500.00 I know what you mean about the wobbly nature of some scaffolds, I used to work up 6-8 stories on quality scaffolds and that was scary enough - you get your sea legs for sure but never get comfortable. The outfit seems to be legit but the quality is questionable. Ya, I it's price makes me question thing too. NEW SCAFFOLDING "BUILDMASTER"18FtSet Perry Baker type W/HATCH PLATFORMS W/GUARDRAIL and OUTRIGGERS $ 525 Maybe someone who knows more about any of this, would be willing to help with some input or lend some advice? Thanks in advance!! It comes in 5 boxes on a pallet and I would pick it up at the delivery terminal and they fork lift it into my pickup for me. I put the info below, everything there is included. The decks aren't very big and I'd need to move it more often and have less reach than a typical sized one, but there's always a trade, right? I was hoping someone had already used one that's similar or even the same that could share what they thought? I'm not expecting it to be top notch or anything, just not wanky, sketchy or a regrettable purchase. This one's $525.00 new ($132.00 delivery) and looks like a nice enough set to do what I need. I'm thinking of buying one that I could sell later and not be out as much $'s and cheaper than the hospital if I get that far. So I'd have to do it at my own pace because of that. Ha! I could rent or borrow a scaffolding set up, but there's sooo much stuff in the shop that I'll need to shift things around as I go. Being older, slower, a little bit smarter, less stable and after a few minor close calls I'm now looking down at that concrete thinking maybe I should consider something safer and with railings? Things hurt more than they used to and takes a lot longer to recover from. ![]() I spent most of my life working on top of scaffolding and 3-4 story ladders and repel work too, so I'm at home up there. Right now I have a pallet rack on wheels rolling around with an 8 ft ladder on top of it for the high areas. I'm doing a ton of ceiling work at 17-22 ft up and seeing it'll take a while to complete. I found this one, it's similar to what Home Depot and other places carry, but for mush less. I'm looking to purchase a fairly compact scaffolding for work I need done in my shop. ![]()
